Donation Made To Alice House Hospice

We are pleased to announce that our recent Christmas social helped to raise £130.43 for local charity Alice House Hospice.  We would like to thank everyone that generously donated to the collection. It was a great day with employees both past and present in attendance.

Peter Bowes, Operations Director, said: “Bridgman IBC are long time supporters of Alice House Hospice and it is always a pleasure to help them where we can.

“As is tradition, we held our annual Christmas Social at The Causeway Inn and we would like to thank Sean and his team for hosting us. Spirits were high and it was great to see employees both past and present coming together.

“A bucket collection was held in aid of Alice House Hospice and I would like to personally thank everyone that made a donation. We are proud to be able to offer our continued support to this fantastic local organisation.

Alice House Hospice exists to ensure people affected by a life-limiting illness or the death of a loved one have the care, comfort and support they need.

As the only adult Hospice in the Hartlepool and East Durham areas of the UK, our unique range of services make a vital difference to the lives of thousands of families each year.

Message From Peter Bowes

As we approach the end of 2021, we at Bridgman are looking forward to 2022 and the hope and prosperity that we anticipate for the beginning of each New Year.

I think it’s essential to thank all the team at Bridgman IBC for the exceptional effort and their hard work that has seen us succeed through this historic time within the UK & the World in general.

We must also acknowledge the dedication and support of all our supply partners, without whom we would not have been able to provide our services to our loyal customer base.

Brexit and Covid have taken their toll, and I offer my thoughts to those who have been affected, writing this it’s obvious to me that that basically means everyone, as I cannot recall anyone who hasn’t had some negative impact because of these challenges.

These challenges more recently have seen raw material prices and the costs of logistics rise at staggering speed and Bridgman are as affected as anybody in construction at this time. However, our suppliers and transport partners remain able to support us.

With the tragedy of Grenfell, we have seen a number of major construction companies requiring project specific fire testing and for Bridgman this has resulted in over six fire tests in 2021, showing our commitment and confidence in our teams’ abilities and our product to serve the industry and our clients.

To add to our successes, we have retained our FSC, PEFC, Q Mark, ISO14001 & 9001 accreditation and are now striving towards our sustainability goal of reaching net zero.

We move forward with confidence and belief in ourselves and the knowledge that we bring with us our fantastic team, suppliers that excel, all with the goal of providing our loyal customers and clients a service that they expect and that we are proud of.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year.

Happy New Year!

The past year has been exceptionally busy for us and we would like to thank all of our customers and supply chain partners for choosing Bridgman IBC Ltd during 2017.

We have worked with a number of partners supplying some very prestigious projects and also delivering a number of fire safety presentations, playing our part in improving fire safety in the UK.

Check out the gallery on our website; https://bridgman-ibc.com/gallery/ for a sample of the projects.

We have also made significant progress on a number of Sustainability projects, our 100k square foot business premises no longer uses gas for any manufacturing process or heating. We currently recycle around 90% of our waste from manufacturing and business activities. The team have worked tremendously towards helping Bridgman take our sustainability goals forward.

Bridgman IBC Ltd.’s commitment to youth employment continues with two new apprentices joining the Bridgman team and one of our directors taking on the role of Chairman of the Hartlepool Youth Working Group, part of the Hartlepool Youth Investment Project, a project responsible for a reduction of youth unemployment in Hartlepool by 75%.

Here is too an even better 2018 – with a number of exiting initiatives planned, new machinery, expansion of the Bridgman’s capacity, new mechanical test certification, extension to the Q Mark scheme and new BIM models all to look forward to.

Anti-Slavery Policy

In response to work with our supply chain partners, Bridgman have created an Anti Slavery Policy. This policy supports our commitment to limiting the risk of modern slavery occurring within our own business or infiltrating our supply chains or any other business relationship.

National Apprenticeship Week

As part of Bridgman’s commitment to fully embrace the National Apprenticeship Week 2017, five students from the Hartlepool College of Further Education have recently been interviewed for an apprentice contracts manager position. A decision will be made shortly on the new position, however the students all interviewed well and were an absolute credit to College. Well done to the students and HCFE!
