Purchasing Administrator
Location: Hartlepool – Onsite
Salary: £23,977 per annum
Hours: 36 hours per week
Working Pattern: 07:00–15:15 Monday to Thursday, 07:00–12:00 Friday
Bridgman IBC, a leading manufacturer in the timber door sector, is searching for a proactive and highly organised Purchasing Administrator to join our busy team in Hartlepool. This role supports our purchasing manager and is vital to ensuring the smooth flow of materials and efficient procurement for our operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring optimal supply of materials for production needs.
- Place timely supplier orders and process good receipting for incoming deliveries.
- Accurately match invoices, resolve reconciliation queries, and maintain records of urgent remake materials.
- Identify and resolve late deliveries, reporting issues to suppliers and communicating effectively with internal teams.
- Maintain clear and up-to-date records for all purchasing activities, supporting audit processes and department objectives.
- Reports directly to the Purchasing Manager.
About You
- Prior experience in a purchasing administrative role is highly desirable; administration experience is essential.
- Competence in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable working with digital stock management systems.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with a willingness and “can do” attitude to tackle new challenges.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, able to liaise with suppliers, colleagues, and management.
- Experience maintaining stock or inventory records is desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Location: North of the United Kingdom (Field-based with travel)
Salary: £40,000 per annum

Bridgman IBC, a market leader in high-performance internal fire doors, is seeking a driven Sales Executive to develop new business and expand our reach in the North of England. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced salesperson in the construction industry to join a dynamic and respected team.
Key Responsibilities
Using our existing extensive database
- Provide intelligence, context and data on submitted quotes and customer activity.
- Close business opportunities with existing customers and new customers across the North.
- Build and nurture lasting customer relationships and actively promote Bridgman IBC’s fire door solutions.
- Provide technical sales presentations and guidance to prospects, highlighting the unique advantages of our certified internal fire door products.
- Negotiate contracts, prepare quotations, and oversee the sales cycle from initial contact to order fulfilment.
- Represent Bridgman IBC at site visits, industry events, and relevant trade shows.
About You
- Demonstrable field sales experience in the construction sector is essential.
- Knowledge of internal fire doors and relevant standards is highly advantageous.
- Strong communicator and negotiator, comfortable building relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the North of the UK.
- Ability to use data to influence strategy, disciplined in intelligence and data collection.
