In preparation for the forthcoming Government legislation in 2016 that states all public contracts are to be run to a BIM level 2 standard, Bridgman have launched a series of pre-hung doorsets that have level 2 BIM data. The go ahead door manufacture based at 10000ft premises in Hartlepool, will be able to supply the data in a format to suit the end user which includes Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) and the data for Construction Operations Building Information Exchange (COBie).

The models are free to download and are also supported by RIBA NBS Plus scheme which will take the hassle out of specification for FD30 and FD60 pre-hung / doorsets. Bridgman cubicles ranges is also available to download.

Bridgman has launched a new brochure designed to provide building professionals with a comprehensive overview of its product ranges.

The brochure is designed to assist specification and features a simple range of options for doorsets. The specify simply choses the door core, select a door finish, chose a vision panel configuration, decides on 3 frame options and then picks an architrave profile.

This month sees the re-launch of the Bridgman web site . The new site will feature a new improved cubicle washroom system section which will allow the user to get a cubicle quotation in seconds.

Other improvements will see a password protected area for architects and main contractors were selected BIM Models for doorsets and cubicles will be made available to download.

Another addition to the website, is an instant call back facility which will be manned during office hours which provide a better experience for the website user.

The site has also be optimised for mobile phones and tablets, so now you can get all the information you need out and about.

Sonny Singh joins Bridgman after completing a Business Management Degree at Teesside University. Sonny will strengthen the estimating team after previously excelling in a retail environment with a blue chip company.

Bridgman continues to invest in training and several members of the management team have successfully passed the FDIS (Fire Door Inspection Scheme) Diploma in Fire Doors. The schemes aim is transform people’s knowledge about how and why fire doors work and the potential dangers of getting it wrong.
